I think lead acid or converted to alum would be the best choice. I used to have a lot of them, when John Bedini was still around and we have talked a few times about various projects but I had to move and couldn't take them with me. That's why I became interested in 1 battery + 3 capacitor setup.
My main dilemma is generator frequency range and duty cycle. This will eliminate two variables and I can further experiment with different coils.
