Has anyone done this ? And if so, how ?

I have seen things like the flower power device but they don't show that the coil accelerates when shorted or loaded.

Romero, i think you have done this, can you tell us the properties of the coil to get this effect with an aircore ?

All the best,

DC.

Hi DeepCut,

i have done it and it works good if you have a NSNS magnet arrangement. All magnets facing same direction never worked.
Spacing between the magnets is very important but it is hard to tell you what to do because it relates to the rpm, number of magnets and diameter of the rotor.
Coil should be not less than 2 x 850 turns on  1cm diameter air core.
Coil should be more long than wide. A wide coil(s) like the one is using skycollection in recent videos is going to show drag even without any load.

Best regards,
Romero

nice one Gary, do you know the inductance of that coil?

Hi,

yes all of the details are in the video infobox.
