The Electron Captor should use pulsed DC or AC.
Best candidate for a quick test is an MOT using the high voltage coil as primary and a secondary loop coil made of coax cable.

New to this portal, great site! :-)

Q on the Barbosa Leal Generator:
If i have a 12 V powersupply connected to the primary of the MOT, were does the coax-cable fit in?
Should the secondary of the MOT being used like the primary of the circuit connected to ground?
Should it be winded up like a coil and then connected to ground?
Maybe someone has some ideas?
