My Motor Crush

Hi everyone,

It's has been for a year now that I'm still playing  around with my motor. I discover lenz effect at about 3500RPM.
when loading two 25W in sery the RPM was not slow down. While happy with the result, I continue to increase speed to 3700. the magnets were released from the rotor and crush with coil, lucky I was not injured.

Just to share to everyone that I'm under estimated on strengthen of magnet on rotor. the magnets  wraped by  wires with Epoxy were not strong enought to hold the centrifuge fource at high speed. Next I'm going to modify my rotor to follow romero style.

You must be very careful, it happend to me too and I have a hole in my wall from one of the magnets.Those magnets are capable to kill if they hit you at high speed.
Even a very strong glue is not enough, after a period of time because of vibration will stop holding the magnets in place, best solution is to have them encapsutaled in the rotor.

Thanks for advising, I will do another rotor with encapsolated magnet.

Since waiting the new rotor, I try with another toy.
